This year marks several milestones for Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival as it’s now in
its 10th season this April (April 2-5) and 5th year on October (October 15 – 18).
Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival continues to celebrate the art of fashion through
series of runway shows, workshops, forums, and by inviting talented and emerging
designers, not just from the Philippines, but from neighbouring countries as well.

Pastel Works

Last April 14, 2018, I was one of the lucky people who was able to attend Nuffnang’s event: BLOGOPOLIS: The Digital Journey, held at Dusit Thani Manila. It is the biggest blog and social media conference in the Philippines gathering the country’s top bloggers, best social media influencers, and finest digital experts to share their knowledge and insights about anything blogging and digital media. Attendees were required to wear a smart casual outfit. Due to a short notice, I didn’t have much time to prepare for my outfit and decided to mix and match some pieces on my closet. And here’s what I wore to the event:

Je Suis Prêt

Today’s featured outfit may not be weather-appropriate but I am loving how it turned out! This is what I wore to my creative shot as part of our graduation shoot (yes, I will be graduating in 11 days!) with my trusty dslr on one arm. Others said that I probably won’t have a hard time deciding for my creative shot because I’m a fashion blogger and used to do photo shoots and stuff but the truth is, I’m not. I had the final decision 3 days before the shoot. Looking back, I didn’t do much inside the university. I’m just an ordinary student. I didn’t join any organization, varsity or student council. But what I’m proud about is how I was able to juggle two different things: studying and blogging. And I guess this is what made me unique.

Hey, guys! Sorry I’ve been MIA. Haven’t posted anything here for almost a month. I’ve also been inactive on instagram since holy week. I don’t know but my mind just wanted a little rest from all this social media/blogger duties. I need some time for myself and reflect on things outside the blogging world. As a comeback post, I am publishing this outfit post cause it’s been a while since the last.

Today marks the 2nd year anniversary of my blog. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years already! Who would’ve thought I’d be able to maintain a blog for 2 years? I remember when I first made this blog, I was so apprehensive because I didn’t think I could do it. What would I post about? What if I get lazy? Will I be able to maintain my blog? Won’t I run out of outfits and things to say? What if people judge me? What if they get bored? So many questions! I’m glad I cast my worries away and took the plunge.

Corporate Attire Ideas

As I make my way to the last semester of my year in college (yay!), I am required to take On-the-job training in a clinical and industrial setting. I took my internship for industrial setting at the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), located just in front of my school.  For those who do not know, DOLE is the primary policy-making, programming, coordinating and administrative entity of the Executive Branch of the government in the field of labor and employment in the Philippines.

Aside from the experience, one thing I also look forward in my OJT is the chance of wearing corporate attire. My mom worked in a corporate setting back then and I always see her in her office attire. She looks elegant and stunning in all the clothes she wears.  She also love styling herself up she has an eye for fashion. I told myself that I would also wear office clothes someday. My 8-year-old self would be very happy cause finally, I was able to wear office clothes like mom!

Throwback

When I was a kid, my mom always choose the clothes I am going to wear when we’re going out. I don’t have any interest in styling and dressing up myself at that time so I let her decide my #ootd. One time, she told me to wear a denim jumper. And that was the very first moment I rejected her decision. I don’t like to wear that denim jumper because I think jumpers are for the little kids only. But I was still little that time tho! Haha. I just don’t want to look a little kid anymore. I want to look older than my age. But now that I’m grown up, I wanted to go back at being a kid again. Also this time, I am more willing to wear cute denim jumpers! Actually, I’m loving retro/vintage fashion right now. It’s classy and the bold prints and accessories are so pretty to look at. So here’s a sample of the outfit inspired in the 90’s. Well, an age appropriate one! 🙂

Cherry Bomb

First photo shoot for the year is the bomb! Thus, the title. LOL. It’s been since my last photo shoot and I missed posing in front of the camera. So in this recent one, all the creative juices (a.k.a. thinking of different poses) were all out. The outfit is inspired by my favorite series at the moment, Riverdale! I love how the photographer shot and edited these photos. He made it look more vintage and classy at the same time.
